President's Message
Q4 Report from CIDQ President
As we near the end of a successful 2024, I am humbled and amazed at the work of CIDQ. Our volunteers, our staff, and our Board of Directors have been diligent with our strategic initiatives this year, and there is no doubt that this organization would not be where it is today without all of you. To all of our students and educators, we hope that this fall semester has been a joyous and productive time so far. Thank you for your persistent work and study for the advancement of our future practitioners, educators, and regulators, and for the continued protection of the public. We wish you the best academic year ahead.
CIDQ has exciting news to share with our educators! We will be launching an Emerging Interior Design Educator Scholarship program in 2025. The goals are quite simple:
-
To provide full-time emerging interior design educators in the academic community with access and opportunity to advance their educational careers by becoming NCIDQ Certified.
-
To provide interior design students with interior design educators who are NCIDQ Certified, support the interior design profession, and foster student engagement with faculty mentors who value NCIDQ Certification.
This year has been an honor to learn from each of you and to grow alongside you, as your President – especially exciting to do so during CIDQ’s 50th Anniversary. Thank you, all, for allowing me the space and opportunity to serve with each and every one of you. Wishing you all the best as we wrap up this year, head into our Annual Meeting in November (Cheers to 50 Years!) and embark on a new year.
Wishing you all the best, now and always –
Erin
